Enable the location features on your mobile device

Your Yahoo services automatically update to reflect the area you're in, so you get the most relevant weather, news, and local search results at all times. When the location feature on your device, browser, or app is turned off, we may use other location signals such as your IP address to help personalize your experience. Choose when and how your device provides information based on your location.

Enable iOS location settings

 

Safari

In order to see location-specific info in Safari, make sure the browser's location setting is enabled.

 

iOS apps

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Select the app.
  3. Tap Location.
  4. Select when you want to allow location access.
    - Never.
    - Ask next time.
    - While using the app.

iOS device

In order to see location-specific info on your iOS device, make sure the location feature is turned on.

 

Chrome for iOS

In order to see location-specific info in Chrome, make sure the location feature is enabled.

    Firefox

    In order to see location-specific info in Firefox, make sure the browser's location setting is enabled.

     

    Android apps

    3. Tap Location again.
    4. Tap on the app you want.

      - Allow all the time.
      - Allow only while using the app.
      - Deny.
