Check your device is connected to a network

If you're having trouble with a Yahoo app not updating or loading properly, make sure your device has a working Internet connection by checking the network settings on your device.



  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
    Note: If connected, your Network ID should display next to the Wi-Fi icon.
  3. Tap on your preferred network.
  4. Enter your username and password.

Mobile data

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Cellular.
  3. Slide the "Cellular Data" slider to the right.
  4. Make sure "Enable LTE" is set to Voice & Data or Data Only.



  1. Swipe down to open the Notifications menu.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
    - Check that you're connected to a network.

Mobile data

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap More settings.
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Select Mobile data.
